I told my best friend I'm gay and now I think he's avoiding me .What do i do?

I come out to one of my best friends in my senior year of high school, we still hung out and it seemed like it didn't bother him. After graduation he just seemed more distant and now we have no contact. I was afraid to tell the rest of my friends in fear they will turn on my as well. When I finally told one of the three amigos (that's how we were known in school). He got upset that i didnt tell him before and was mad at me for a while, but never turned on me. We have been friends for 14 years and we're closer then ever. He now works in the same company and my partner and we have a great relationship. Moral of the story is, a true friend will always be there even if they seem distant at first, it is something they have to process just give it time if not owell you have lost nothing.
