Not sure where I should place my tattoo?

So I'm planning on getting a tribal lotus tattoo soon and I'm undecided on where I should place it. I would love to have the tattoo on the back of my neck or shoulder blade, but I have a birth mark right in the middle of my back that I totally hate. I think I would be paranoid that having the tattoo on my backside will draw attention to my birthmark when I'm wearing a bathing suit or something. I was also thinking about my ankle, but I wanted some more creative suggestions...help!!!
