A year ago I had a stress fracture in the middle of my left tibia from running too much in track, so I was on crutches for 5 weeks and couldn't run for another 2 months. Would you let your kids be with these people,even if they are family?

The different spiritual beliefs is not that bad a thing. However, having those beliefs forced down your throat, whether they apply to you or not is not the kind of environment you would want your children in. If it is family (as is the case with my mother) what I found works well is giving my children a healthy appreciation for different beliefs (even if it's not what we practice in our home). This gives them the opportunity to come to their own conclusions as to what they listen to of what Granny is saying about that particular issue, and what they can just p off. It's been working well in our house for quite a while. But if this is not an option for you, for whatever reason, you might just want to limit contact to times that you can be there to explain (in front of the child) that you appreciate their "concern" but that's not the way we work in this family. You will probably say it differently, but whatever works for you. If the other person is still not understanding that this is your life, your path, your choice, and simply avoid them until they do understand these things. That sounds a bit harsh, but bringing your children into an atmosphere like that can cause confusion if they don't have firm ground to stand on when it comes to spirituality and beliefs.

My cousin is illiterate. Why has he gotten so far in school?

I have a cousin who is almost 10 and is still functionally illiterate. His teachers and his parents are aware of this, yet he has still managed to be promoted to the 2nd or 3rd grade. WHY?!!!! Felling almost miserable?

TWW question..is the a possible sign of pregnancy?

So, we are in our 9th cycle of TTC our third (and probably last) baby. My oldest was conceived on the pill, and my second came after 7 months TTC. So, this has been a hell of a long wait. My LMP began on 11/14 and my cycles are 29 days long, like clockwork, and I usually ovulate on CD 14 or 15. We BD on CD 10, 11 and 13. I am now on CD 20, about 5-6 DPO. With my boys I do not remember noticing any change in my CM, but right now my CM is very different than what it usually is in the TWW. Usually, right after O day I dry right up for a day or two, and then it becomes white and creamy-ish. Then, it stays that way until about CD 26-27, then for the last two days before AF shows it goes totally dry again. Right now, I am having A LOT of CM, and its white, very thick and more sticky than creamy. Is that a possible sign of pregnancy? I can't really think of any other symptoms...I am tired, stressed and a little moody. But, a week ago my best friend's baby boy (4 months old) ped away due to SIDS. He was my God-son, so I've been a total wreck. To be totaly honest, I am almost hoping that I am NOT pregnant right now, just because if I am, my due date would be very close to his birthday. Why would certain filters (i.e. artistic, etc) be blocked on CS3 Photoshop?

I am running Mac Leopard and now when using Photoshop CS3 certain filters are blocked. I open an image and the filters are not listed. I only have about 5 listed [blur, sharpen, and about one or two others]. The more artistic filters such as postorize, artistic, sketch, texture, and brush strokes are not listed. I have the mode set at 8 bits/channel but still can't use specific filters. Is there anything I can do to access them?

I feel like I'm dying and no one cares?

I''m 23-years-old and have been told by 2 doctors (not my primary as I see him next Thursday) that I have anxiety. I will try to shorten the story. It started 2 years ago when I thought I had every disease from heart disease to a brain tumor. I think I had anxiety back then but never put a label on it. I feel in love and forgot all about my problems. This past November all my anxiety came back and I have not been the same since. I started having a burning sensation in my foot and immediately thought diabetes. I went to the doctor who told me that my shoes were probably causing this. I accepted the diagnosis because when I didn''t think about my foot, I didn''t feel the sensation. When I started thinking about it, I felt the sensation. In January I started having tingling in my right hand and went to the doctor who said because I have a job where I work on the computer all day it was carpal tunnel. She gave me an arm brace and the tingling went away. In February I was diagnosed with a urinary infection and again thought diabetes. The infection came and went. Out of nowhere then I started having mouth pain and headaches, so I started thinking brain tumor or stroke. Two weeks ago I had my first panic attack and after got really tired. I went to the doctor and he said it anxiety. I was still freaking out so I went to another doctor who told me he thought it was anxiety as well. This past Saturday I started having tingling in my hands and both my feet. Before it was just my left foot, now it''s both hands and both feet and sometimes the tingling seems like it''s going up my leg when I sit, I still have the mouth pain, I''m tired, etc. I went to a counselor today who said that he believes it''s anxiety with some depression as well. It seems like if I don''t think about the tingling it''s not there, that''s why it''s so weird, but I never stop thinking about it. The counselor told me to say to myself every hour, "I''m ok." I''m going to follow up with my counselor for a few weeks and he may refer me to a psychiatrist, but I''m also going to a 3rd doctor (my primary) next Thursday because I can''t believe it''s just anxiety. I can''t stop thinking I have something wrong with me and I feel like no one hears me. The tingling makes me think it has to be something else more serious. Has anyone had these anxiety symptoms? Would i be able to be accepted in an ivy league school with this GPA?

I would like my future career to be in the medical Field, and i know how competitive med schools are so i want to go to a really good undergraduate school ( possibly Ivy League) so i can major in biochemistry and be on my way to becoming a doctor. My high school GPA is a 3.9, i was in honors science throughout my high school career but dropped out of honors math because i wasn't in honors in middle school and it was too much having 2 math courses in one year. i only took 3 AP courses (AP bio, AP world history and AP physics) and i have also been a volunteer at a hospital since i was a freshman, volunteer at a Vacation Bible school camp since 7th grade, train soccer teams, have my own cake Business, on Varsity soccer, and am in many other extra-curricular activities which include Mock-trial, SADD and key club . I have this drive to be a doctor which has pushed me to manage my grades and become involved in all of these things in my community. Would i have a chance to getting into COlombia or Cornell or any other Ivy league schools? Are there any other colleges that aren't ivy league in the tri-state that is less than $50,000 a year that would help me get into med school?

My question is simply, "Why?"?

This may sound vague, but bear with me and think for a while. My question is just, "Why?" Why do things happen the way they do? Why do people do things why and how they do them? Why is anything, anything? Why is there anything at all? What's the point of doing anything if our fate is inevitable - death. Yes, you will die. Some day you will die... wouldn't it be easy to accept that now rather than later? Why should anyone even struggle through life - the depressed, the angered, the saddened - when they could end it all if they chose to? Are they afraid of some dark and terrible afterlife that awaits them, or do they feel that they still have something to live for. Not only do you have to accept you will die someday, you could die any day. You could contract a rare illness, be shot in the street for no reason, be hit by a meteor, there's so many ways you could just die. So my question is... what's the point of living then? It feels like the only answer is that they fear something worse awaits them later on in the afterlife. Or rather, they believe the Nothing is after life. The entire concept of nothing - the complete absence of any form of substance - is rather scary and peaceful at the same time. You have nothing at all; you don't even exist when you're nothing. Let that sink in. Nothing awaits you after nothing. You are the very embodiment of nothing. But if you don't believe my Nothing-Afterlife theory or in some Hellish Afterlife, why are you alive?

My mom and aunt go through phases of this all the time. One thing is cauled cauliflower mash. I know it sounds nasty, but it's really good. Cook the cauli in chicken stock with a little s&p 10 - 15 minutes. Let the chicken stock cook out. Then pop in a blender or food processor with about 2 tbsp er, 2 oz. cream cheese and 1/2 c. cheddar cheese. Add warm milk or cream until its the consistency you like. They really are good. Serve with pot roast. Just get the meat and dump in one of those seasoning bags with onions, carrots (I know you can't eat these, but they are great seasoning) and mushrooms. Serve with bread if you won't get tempted.

Sunburn on my chest from a Tanning Bed...Vinegar?

I laid in the tanning bed for the first time in 6 months but this time I used a new tanning lotion, the salon put new bulbs in the bed and DIDN'T TELL ME and when I asked the girl for only 10 min. in the 15 min. bed she didn't listen so I got out when I noticed I was in there for 12 min. I live in Florida, I'm not new to sunburns but I have never gotten one from a tanning bed and never this painful. It hurts sooo bad I literally slept for 10 min. all last night, it's almost purple, and I can see small veins (about the size of a needle) just beneath the skin. This is obviously not normal. I have read up on some "home remedies" and I want to know in the Vinegar remedy, what kind? Apple cider? White distilled? Pour it on? Dab it on? Let it sit? Wash it off? When? How long? and ect. ect, And, Please I don't need anyone to tell me not to tan in a bed or at all I did, it can't be undone, and I just need answers not smart comments! I come out to one of my best friends in my senior year of high school, we still hung out and it seemed like it didn't bother him. After graduation he just seemed more distant and now we have no contact. I was afraid to tell the rest of my friends in fear they will turn on my as well. When I finally told one of the three amigos (that's how we were known in school). He got upset that i didnt tell him before and was mad at me for a while, but never turned on me.
